UPDATE: After I posted this a few heroes came to the rescue and saved the neighborhood.
This photo is taken from my Aunts drive way...scary!
Please start praying. Southern California is on fire again and it is concentrated in Orange County, my old stomping grounds. It happens so often and each time until now, I have been lucky it wasn't near my friends or families homes. Always close but not too close. My favorite "Aunt" Renee along with her family has been evacuated tonight from her home in Anaheim Hills. I'm a nervous wreck! 50 homes less than a mile from her have been destroyed. They fled their home with the dog and computer but had no time to grab anything else. My uncle John left in such a hurry that he forgot his wallet and cell phone. He has no identification. I'm worried they will loose everything. As they were leaving they saw their neighbor's palm tree catch fire. Please pray for them and everyone around them. Orange, my former home town, is also on fire and my former church building is near the flames, as well as many homes of my old friends. Please keep them in your prayers tonight. Thanks.

Oh my gosh Crysal. I hope Renee's house will be okay. That is so close to the elementary school! We will keep them in our prayers. It's so awful. My mom and Jennifer were stuck on the freeways today for hours trying to get to a baby shower. They gave up and turned around but had no idea how long it would take to get home. They left at 1:40 and called me at 6:30 still in the car. Call me tomorrow and let me know if Renee's home is okay.
I hope everything is o.k. It is crazy how many fires happen in CA. I'll keep them in my prayers.
It's so horrible! Hope all your family and friends will be okay. I'm relieved my parents and sisters homes are going to be ok. CRAZY!
Wow, so sorry about that, how scary! How are things now, how is your family's house?
The house survived. A neighbor from around her corner is a former fire fighter. He went and got a fire hose and stayed behind to wet the homes closest to the flames. He prevented the fire from spreading! Good thing since the actual firefighters on duty were already busy in other locations. Talk about a real hero! Yippee the Howards are safe at home!
Now Jackie & Deann, your old neighborhood of Diamond Bar has 500homes evacuated!
Yeah, Staci's parents had to evacuate, but I think their house is okay. It would have been so sad because they have the coolest house and just remodeled!
